A scientific research team from Kaunas University of Technology and Lithuania Energy Research Institute put forward a method to convert velveteen microfibre in clothes dryer into energy. The team created a trial pyrolytic device and developed a mathematical model to measure the economic and environmental benefits that may be brought by the technology. The researches estimate that 14t petroleum, 21.5t natural gas and 10t coke can be generated by converting the velveteen microfibre from the clothes of 1 million people.
At present global resources, energy consumption and environmental decay are increasingly grim, the fashion industry is committed to environmental protection and sustainable development. For example, sports brand Skechers popularizes the green environmental protection concept, and Rothy'S penetrates the sustainability into China with recycled plastic bottles.
