HONG KONG, September 14, 2022 – The Sensory Stitches exhibition, held to showcase and provoke investigations of textile and Artificial Intelligence technology, drew to a successful close on 13 September. As the first specialised exhibition on intelligent textile held by the Laboratory for Artificial Intelligence in Design (AiDLab), Sensory Stitches featured a unique intelligent textile system with AI-based gesture recognition, along with a collection of 9 novel photonic textile designs and photonic fashion. These innovations created a brand-new interactive experience and visual stimulations to visitors.
Uster EVS Fabriq Vision gathers quality data and presents it in an album, which is used to certify the quality of each fabric roll, with total traceability.
Artificial intelligence has enabled the textile and apparel industry to become more sensitive in understanding the fashion tastes and preferences of its customers. In the long run, this will have a constructive impact on the industry as a whole, enabling manufacturers to carry out their production work efficiently, while reducing labor costs and delivering more accurate and quality garments. Just two weeks ago, the Textech Galaxy event, AIFT 2022, was successfully held, attracting thousands of online participants from the industry, cross-border and other related companies, institutes, designers, engineers and experts to inspire more innovation possibilities in the field of textile AI in 2022.
