The Olympic Games are held in hot summer, where the staff may be in danger of heatstroke. The new scheme from Alibaba will be applied to the Tokyo Olympic Games postponed to this year. It can avoid heatstroke of on-site staff as much as possible through the intelligent wear and cloud technology. Specifically, the staff can wear an intelligent ear-wearing, and it can measure the wearer's temperature and heart rate in real time and upload them to the cloud system in the first instance. Cloud technology will analyze the physical conditions of the staff and the environmental parameters of the venue (including temperature, humidity, light intensity and so on) to assess the heatstroke risk level of each staff. The system will send an alarm to the staff with high-risk physical condition to remind them of replenishing water to avoid suffering heatstroke.
Yuan Qian, General Manager of Alibaba Cloud Intelligent International, said: "We hope to maintain the safety of Olympic staff and ensure its smooth holding through advanced cloud technology. Alibaba's cloud computing infrastructure is so secure, stable, flexible and strong that can promote the digital transformation of the Olympic Games in many ways and bring a new experience to each participant." Nakamura Hidemasa, the Delivery Officer of Organizing Committee of Tokyo Olympic Games, said: "It is predicted that there will be hot weather during the Olympic Games. We will provide support to the staff who maintain the normal operation of the event, and cloud technology from Alibaba's will play a vital role in this regard."
In addition to preventing staff from heatstroke, Alibaba will also provide technical support for the Tokyo Olympic Games in terms of cloud broadcasting, cloud press conference and 3D athlete tracking.
